Muay Thai in UK 4 : AIMING HIGH – CHRISTI CAMPBELL

On Dec 4th Muay Thai 80 Pansa MahaGuson TherdTai Ong Rachan' (HIS MAJESTY THE KING’S 80TH BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY) for the Flyweight WPMF title was held at the temporary stadium of Sanamluang, Bangkok The main fight was between Christi Campbell, the English boxer and Loty Lohimo, the Finn boxer.
In the 1st round, Loty waded into Christi immediately with a violent attack and threw many punches. But Christi was able to block the Finn’s attack. Both boxers exchanged punches, knees and kicks.
In the 2nd round, Christi changed her tactic. She used the longer leg kick to keep Loty at bay. Loty tried to punch inside, but Christi used kick and knee attacks to Finnish boxer and moved back to the outside.
In the 4th round, Loty increased the speed of her fighting and waded into English boxer, but Christi was able to defend Loty’s attack and counter-attacked fiercely with her right leg to Loty’s body many times.
In the 5 th round, Christi continued to follow the same tactic. She waited for the counter-attack and kicked at the body alternate with the thigh of Loty.
Finally, Christi won on points 49-48 and became the new Flyweight WPMF Champion. |
